Jay Chapa Assistant City Manager City of Fort Worth
The citizens of the City of Fort Worth will vote on a bond package in May of 2018. The CMAA North Texas chapter will be one of the first stops Assistant City Manager, Jay Chapa, makes after rolling out the bond package to City Council on February 6th. You will not want to miss the opportunity to hear details about the bond.
During his nearly 19 years with the city, Jay Chapa has served in leadership positions in the Housing & Economic Development Department, Water Department and Budget Office. He is currently serving as an Assistant City Manager with responsibility over infrastructure and economic development. He works directly with the following departments: Economic Development, Transportation and Public Works, Property Management and Water. He most recently served Director of Economic Development, where he is responsible for economic development, business retention and recruitment, small-business development, the city’s Business Diversity Office and all incentive programs, including tax abatement and tax increment financing.
